On October 28th we held our first annual West Coast Amazing Race. Participants were given a task list with items ranging from “Name that furniture item” at the Peking Lounge in Chinatown, to “What are you drinking” at Terracotta Modern Chinese in Gastown. We had some great competitors but two teams emerged as this years champions.

GASTOWN MOTORCYCLE SHOW N’ SHINE ON SUNDAY, AUGUST 15, 2010

August 19th, 2010 | Add a Comment

Some of our West Coast Sightseeing Tour Buses were re-routed Sunday for the Gastown Motorcycle Show N’ Sine. From drag racing bikes to Harley’s to road Vancouver motor bike festival bikes to tricked out choppers, Gastown was packed with amazing two wheel machines. Whether you’re a bike enthusiast or not the atmosphere was vibrant with live bands and acts even getting some of the “Bad Ass” biker’s shaking their hips.

The three best bikes will be shown on the Drag Specialties/Parts Canada website at www.partscanada.com between September 1-30, 2010 where YOU will be able to log in and vote for YOUR favorite bike. The bike with the most votes will be named their “2010 National Best in Show” Champion and will win a set of tires, valued up to $500.

All proceeds from the ballots purchased at this event were donated to the Association for Injured Motorcyclists (AIM)- Vancouver.

West Coast Sightseeing will be looking into putting one of our buses on 2 wheels for next years event… Think it’s possible?

First Sun Burn of 2010!

May 02nd, 2010 | Add a Comment

Nothing like a good sun burn to indicate summer’s on the doorstep! With a brand new kiteboarding set-up and the wind upwards of 20 knots Jericho served as the perfect  play Vancouver Kitesurfingground. Over 30 Kites were flying that day and most of them, like me (Blaise), stayed out for over 5 hours straight. Let’s just say, after 5 hours on the water, in the sun, “sans” sunscreen – me and a ripe tomato had a lot in common.

Vancouver is truly one of a kind. Kiteboarding VancouverHow many cities can you be kiteboarding in the ocean with beautiful scenic views of our north shore snow capped mountains?… And still get a sun burn! I’d like to thank Vancouver and Jacek who captured some of these amazing shots. Jacek was poised on a protruding sandbar capturing one of many amazing sights in Vancouver.
